The Invitation
At mid-life you receive your Invitation to enter (either knowingly or unknowingly) a series of initiatory rites- gateways so to speak – to something that you may only have vague intimations about.
Something stirs in your heart, in your soul- that causes perturbations in you. Perplexes you. Bothers you to no end. Yet you may attempt to ignore this Invitation.
This Invitation often comes in a less than opportune time of your life. A time in your life when you want to get your bearings but have no known markers to set your course by. You are getting older (we are always getting older), too busy, muddled, confounded, and probably/definitely feel you have no tolerance for gateways and initiations.
But alas, your soul knows no turning back- you must follow your soul path. Your heart dusts itself off and resumes its true purpose and rightful place – as your primary organ/field of knowledge/wisdom and direction. At the urging, prompting, and tending of your heart you open The Invitation. And without even knowing what is in store for you - you step onto your soul path and agree to pass through each gateway.

When you reach your forties you take an evolutionary and developmental turn and come to face yourself.
“And You, What Do You Seek?” -- It is yourself you are seeking.
Midlife is the turning point to living a whole new kind of life. Midlife invites you to reclaim your conscious awareness that you are magical and you can live a magical life.
But you don’t just wake up one day and find yourself tripping in the magic fields of life – it takes some conscious expansion to pass through each of the necessary initiation gates.
Mid-life is a time of liminality – an in-between zone where you are passing from one time to another time – but are not quite in either time.
Mid-life is your mythic journey. You are not the Woman You Once Were and have not yet found the Woman You Are Now Becoming.
You hear the distant call somewhere in your Outer Reaches but the gateway eludes you.
At many points after entering mid-life – that would be 40 and beyond – you will find your self in an “in-between zone.” You are not Who You Used To Be. And you are not yet Who You Are Becoming. You are sort of between phases of our life.
Before you enter the mid-life gateway, your life is too full of taking care of society’s needs and building your life. You are not available to step onto the initiatory paths that lead you to the Parting Of The Mists.
Each decade of mid-life has its own special “in-between zone” – the “’point of intersection of the timeless/ with time’ that place of poetic sensibility where glimpses of the eternal and ordinary perception overlap”.
- In your 40s evolutionary and development changes begin. You begin to get a glimpse that time may be running out. Your developmental pathway urges you to seek autonomy and personal clarity. You begin to feel the conflict between diving into your own inner resources and your roles and commitments.
- In your 50s – having moved through the individualization of your forties - your soul now seeks real living – instead of just getting ready to live. You are primed to stop listening to your “egos” and propelled to discover your soul and live with satisfaction and an appreciation for your inner gifts.
- In your 60s – a significant passage for redefining begins again. Deeper spirituality. Deeper intimacy. Greater life force. The quest for stuff slows down and in its place comes extraordinary capacity for vision and the calling forth of dreams. In this decade Elderhood begins – the longest and often most fulfilling period of adult life.
- In your 70s – the decade of stewardship, benevolence, and compassion. The consciousness of the tribe. The heart of intelligence. The territory of sages and the wise ones.
- In your 80s magic becomes the norm. Entering your 80s grants you the privilege of seeing the world as mystery and magic not as special glimpses but rather as just “matter of fact”
- In your 90s –

Each decade of Mid-Life confronts you with its particular invitation to enter onto the shore of your next becoming. With each decade you receive the Invitation to journey with the Lady of the Lake through your own Inner Waters to lift veil after veil of illusion reclaiming your ability to read the Greater Pattern and bridge the realms of your being.
Midlife is the beginning of your mythic journey deep into yourself to reclaim that wild, natural, divine part of yourself.
A multi-dimensional approach to creative transformational living mid-life that supports you in conjuring, crafting, and creating this new life of your dreams.
In this class, we will use intuition, multi-dimensional accessing, natured centered healing, Wisdom Councils, and Sacred Craft to begin the self-initiation into True Adulthood.
This workshop leads you to reveal to yourself the initiatory stage you are approaching and offers you a multi-dimensional pathway that will lead you through that gateway to your next threshold.
Anchored in a Wisdom Council of Elders, we will access your intuitive and multi-dimensional awareness, plus your dreams and sensory consciousness, to unearth those magical dreams (and steps to those dreams) that are your gifts to not only yourself – but also to the world.
Come join us in the Crossing to Avalon Workshop. During the class, we will be moving through a series of experiences in Releasing the Woman You Once Were. And we will be moving through the Avalon Gateway to Remember and Reconnect with the Woman You Are Now Becoming.

At this age of your life you don’t have to stake out your territory like you did in your 20s or hurry up to reach your major life goals before you are “too old” like you did in your 30s.
No, your task now is much more interesting. After you get over the shock that everything in your life comes up for a major reevaluation you realize that you have landed in a new level of consciousness. Your task in your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond is to take this new level of consciousness and embrace an expanded involvement with the world as you get to know yourself more intimately and deeply.
The time has come to live the adventures you dream of – and to find the dreams for your adventures. You are now in the time of your life where -like never before- you can do what you want and be who you want.
Imagine living your life as the adventure that you sometimes dare to dream about. What if you actually had the choice to create your life the way you want to?
Well, you do. You already have the power to create the life you want– you just may not know about it yet. Or you know it but have not been able to tap into it yet. Or you know it and want to take it further.
I know that at mid-life everything changes – your health, your feelings, what you think, what you do, your hopes and dreams, how you view the world and your place in it – even who you thought you were changes.
But instead of all those changes marking just an end to an era let them become an incredible opportunity for infinite possibilities of new beginnings.
It is time to take this incredible gift of years ahead of you and make it into your dreams come true.
It is time to dream something different and better for yourself.
It is time to claim your magic and live that magical dream that is tucked away inside of you … or go and unearth those magical dreams that have been buried under the avalance of stuff.
It doesn’t matter if you are …
- Happy or sad.
- Alone or supported.
- Old or older.
- Healthy or not.
- Afraid or courageous.
- Disappointed or excited.
- Tired or vibrant.
Wherever you are you can find your way to yourself and you can create your “new life at mid-life”.
