Traditional Herbal Medicine Making
These classes are an introduction to herbal medicine making. We will focus on making tinctures and herbal infused oils. Spend a day playing and listening to the plants – and come home with a treasure chest full of awesome green medicine.
We will start off the day with a hands on plant walk . I will take you around the Center on a magical plant tour revealing to you everyday herbs that are probably growing right around you.
We will play some plant games. Get to know the plants through multi-sensory connections. And you will receive direct intuitive input on the medicines for you to make.
In addition, we will go over all the basics of Traditional Herbal Medicine Making and you will make your own tinctures and herbal infused oils.

Join us in Herbal Medicine Making -- You will come away with a deeper appreciation of herbal medicine as the Medicine of the People.
For thousands of years Herbal Medicine has been called The People's Medicine - medicine accessible to all people. Wild plants growing freely - best suited to the local climate, geography and needs of the local people. The plants right outside your front door - or maybe your back door - hold the secret to the healing you need.
Herbal Medicine is not a high tech medicine full of complex and mysterious secrets. But recently it has been made to appear as such. What with the artificially created need for standardization of ingredients and complicated assays for active herbal ingredients, we have been cajoled into thinking that in order for herbs to best used our only recourse is to go the "real experts" and buy herbs from the big high tech processing companies.
Sometimes you do need the experts - and the high tech processing also has its place - but before your situation takes that turn, you may find that the local herbs in your backyard are still staunch allies and your greatest medicine.
For the vast majority of your everyday health and wellness needs you can find the herbs growing right around you that are useful to resolve these problems.
And not only is it easy to learn what these herbs are, but you can also learn how to make them into useable medicines. There are simple and easy ways that you can use to make fine high-quality potent healing herbal medicines. It doesn't require a lot of high-tech machinery and you don't have to get an advanced degree to do it.
It is a simple three step process:
1. Find the medicinal herbs growing around you.
2. Transform them into potent and powerful herbal medicines using simple every day materials.
3. Become empowered as you add vibrant living medicines to your health and wellness repertoire.
What people are saying...
I am so amazed at these herbs. They are all over the place. I never noticed them before but now that I have been introduced to them and shown what they are and where they are I see them all over the place and it is magical. I am so excited by it.
-- GW, Shipman, VA
I hadn’t noticed it until today – as I am having these allergy symptoms – that while I was eating chickweed I didn’t have any allergy symptoms at all and today since I stopped eating chickweed – because it is all gone for now – I see I now have allergy symptoms again.
I am so excited about these medicines we are making. It is like I am a kid at Christmas. I can’t wait to open up and use these exciting gifts. Waiting 6 weeks is just too long for me. Everyday I am saying, “Oh come on isn’t it ready yet?”
