Have you ever been saved by a plant?

Being saved by a plant is akin to entering a portal into ancient and mysterious ways of being.
The plants have power, healing, guidance, and ancient secrets that they give to you when they agree to save you. You are never the same afterward.
Afterwards you know (at least you suspect) that there is something more than the active ingredients and chemical constituents of the plant that worked their magic in you. You recognize that something deep, pure, and holy has been stirred within you. Something you were sure had been civilized out of you long ago.
The People’s Medicine
Most of the world has used herbal medicine for most of recorded history. Herbal medicine is part of a traditional culture of medicine and healing.
As an extension of nature – an integral part of the whole – herbs were used for their entire healing potential and not used just for their chemical constituents. The herb was used because it carried into you its multi-dimensional vibrational frequency for healing the whole.
That is not to say that their chemical parts were not important – but they were just one small aspect of the sacred healing power of herbs.
Medical Herbalism/ Herbal Reductionism
Today, something like 64% of the population uses herbs as part of their alternative medicine approach.
Having been mainstreamed, herbs today are often used in much the same way people use drugs. The old directive “If you have a headache take 2 aspirin and in 20 minutes, the headache is gone” has now become – “if you have anything happening to your health take this herb a couple of times and it will go away”.
People interact with herbs like they interact with OTC medications:
- What herb am I going to take to get rid of my symptoms?
- How much of it do I use?
- How often do I take it?
- How long should I use it?
These are good and appropriate questions. Nothing wrong with them - as far as they go.
However …
Very rarely are any of these questions going to lead you into the deep and magical path of healing with herbs.

To embrace the magic and meaning of the herbs you have to reconnect with and remember the deep knowledge that you possess as your birthright. You have to ask questions that come from your HEART and not your HEAD.
A Different Kind of Herbal Medicine
At its heart, herbal medicine is about taking the journey into deep healing for yourself.
Plants are pure, positive source (sacred) energy. They are always whole, complete and fully of integrity (i.e. they never try to be something else or forget that they are lobelia, etc.). As such, they are a direct line to the experience of the sacred. And even though it has become stylish these days to attribute the healing capacities of herbs to their chemical constituents - even to the point of extracting their active ingredients and getting rid of the rest - it is actually this direct connection with the sacred that holds the healing power of the plants.
Heart Centered Intelligence
How is it that you align with this Sacred Plant Medicine, talk with plants, and receive their healing secrets? You reconnect with your most powerful and ancient language of communication – heart centered intelligence and the direct sensory perception of nature.
As you shift your focus to your heart and allow your consciousness to drop out of your analytical linear mind into your heart, you'll discover what you thought had long been civilized out of you – your wild, untamed, unschooled, multi-dimensional sensory awareness. When you experience this state of being, internal coherency is created and you reconnect with your natural and inherent capacity for direct sensory perception of nature. You discover that you have stepped onto The Earth Path of nature centered healing.
The Heart Centered Intelligence of internal coherency and the multi-dimensional direct sensory perception of nature form the fundamental basis for common union in communicating with the plants and all of nature (of which you are a part).
Coherency occurs when electro-magnetic fields (the subatomic waves within the fields) move into synchrony with each other. When the waves in the different EM fields are synchronized with each other, they begin to act as one enhanced wave. The individual waves/particles move together in harmony and create a more harmonious whole.
This increased coherency (harmony and synchrony) establishes direct communication as different frequencies attune themselves to each other.
Internal coherency acts as an entrainment wave that invites incoherent troubled, stressed EM fields to move into harmony with the more coherent EM field.
Plants demonstrate "the highest level of quantum order or coherence possible in a living system.” They are masters at fine-tuning their frequencies to other waves - i.e communicating with other life forms by acting as an entraining wave.
When you come into contact with a plant, you drop your consciousness down into your heart and you move into heart centered intelligence the electromagnetic field of your heart encounters that of the plant (which is optimally coherent) and you entrain to the frequency of the plant. Vola! - you are in communication with the plant. Resonance matching occurs between the coherency in your EM field and the plant's coherent EM field. Under the right conditions, the plant will download or transfer its coherent vibrational frequency into your EM heart field and your well-being is enhanced.
The next time you walk along outside and get a sense that you might have heard something, remember plants talk. You still have alive within you and accessible through your own heart intelligence – that most ancient and sacred uncivilized wildness that is your gateway into living as your true multi-dimensional self – holy, well, and whole.
The plants are calling – is it you they want to speak with?
